Who is Patricia Giralt?

 “I LOVE WHAT I DO”

Patricia Giralt is Canadian by birth, Cuban by blood, Venezuelan by heart and American by choice this melting pot mix is what makes Patricia a great graphic designer. She was raised in Venezuela and that is where she got her Latin flavor. She studied Marketing and Art in Skidmore College and worked in Grey Advertising (Font & Vaamonde) and Contact Marketing Group in New York and Miami. During her advertising years, she handled accounts of Procter & Gamble, General Foods and many other important accounts. After advertising, she started her real estate career where she treated her properties as the most important product to sell and designed all the marketing material for promoting the listings and developer projects.

Patricia has been doing graphic design on her own.  Recently  she developed her line EL CAMINO dedicated to Doral the city that she loves because is a place to "live, learn, work and exercise". She discovered the wonderful birds that the city has such as egret, anhinga and many others. She created a colorful line and her main idea is to make Doral a sustainable city following the rule 1-8.

Thanks for visiting this page and Let's keep Doral and the world a better place!

1) Reduce, Reuse and Recycle presented by Don Clean.

1. Reduce Consumption:

✅ Opt for products with minimal packaging or items that can be refilled/reused.

✅ Choose durable goods over disposable ones to reduce overall consumption.
✅ Instead of disposable plastic 💧bottle, opt for a stainless steel or glass water bottle that you can refill multiple times.

These durable bottles can last for years, reducing the need for single-use plastic and saving money in the long run.
2. Reuse Items:

✅ Give items a second life by repurposing them for different uses (use old jars as storage containers).
3. Recycle Properly:

✅ Sort recyclable materials correctly and follow local ♻️ recycling guidelines.
4. Support Recycling Programs: Encourage and participate in community recycling initiatives.
5. Educate Others: Spread awareness about the importance of the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) and share tips on how individuals can incorporate these practices into their daily lives.

✅Local governments, environmental organizations, or businesses may collaborate to distribute reusable bags at community events, farmers' markets, or retail locations. These programs aim to increase access to reusable bags and promote their use as an alternative to single-use plastic bags, thereby reducing plastic waste

3. Educational Campaigns and Outreach: these campaigns play a crucial role in promoting the adoption of reusable bags and raising awareness about the environmental impacts of single-use plastic bags.

1. Residential Solar Panels: Many homeowners in Doral, Florida, and around the world are installing solar panels on their rooftops to generate clean energy for their homes.

Residential solar panel systems typically consist of ✅photovoltaic (PV) panels mounted on the roof, inverters to convert the DC electricity generated by the panels into usable AC electricity, and net metering systems to connect the solar panels to the local electrical grid. By harnessing the power of the sun, homeowners can reduce their electricity bills, lower their carbon footprint, and increase energy independence. Contact FPL for more information.

2. Community Solar Gardens: Community solar gardens, also known as solar farms or shared solar projects, allow multiple individuals or businesses to collectively invest in and benefit from solar energy generation.

✅In a community solar garden, solar panels are installed on a large plot of land or on the rooftops of commercial buildings, and the electricity generated is distributed to participants through virtual net metering or utility billing arrangements. Community solar gardens provide an opportunity for renters, homeowners with shaded roofs, or those unable to install solar panels on their properties to access clean energy and receive credit on their utility bills for their share of the solar electricity generated.

3. Commercial Solar Installations: Businesses, schools, government agencies, and other organizations in Doral, Florida, can also benefit from solar power installations. ✅Commercial solar projects typically involve larger-scale solar panel systems installed on rooftops, parking structures, or vacant land adjacent to buildings. Commercial solar installations can help offset electricity costs, reduce operating expenses, demonstrate environmental leadership, and attract customers or tenants interested in supporting sustainability initiatives. Additionally, commercial solar projects may be eligible for tax incentives, grants, or financing options to help offset the upfront costs of installation and accelerate the return on investment.
